Joseph T. Thompson, DMD, MAGD

Joseph T. Thompson, DMD, MAGD is the founder, president and CEO of The Pinnacle Experience, Inc. He graduated with a B.A. from LaSalle University in 1962 and the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine with a D.M.D in 1966. He was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1987 and a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1992.

He taught clinical restorative dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine for five years before turning his full time to private practice. He initiated the two year Associate Degree Expanded Function Dental Assistants program at Manor Junior College in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania in 1974. This program is now looked upon as the benchmark for all EFDA programs in Pennsylvania and surrounding states as it continues to produce quality graduates for dentistry.

Dr. Thompson has been a member of the medical staff of Holy Redeemer Hospital and Medical Center since 1978 and is prominent in the continuing education programs for physicians, the elderly and diabetic patients. Dr. Thompson has written two books and contributed to a third:

Dr. Thompson began his practice in 1967 and move to Holy Redeemer Hospital and Medical Center in 1978 where he conducted a uniquely innovative practice with a national reputation. It has been considered in the top 1 percent for productivity of all practices in the United States deserving the attention of the Wall Street Journal in the November 13, 1989 issue.

Today, Dr. Thompson is still very active in organized dentistry and has held the position of Director of Development of the Holy Redeemer Health System since 1995. However, the continued education of healthcare professionals is an essential goal to which he has committed himself and his company, The Pinnacle Experience, Inc.
